Kawasaki Ninja H2R Overview
India Kawasaki Motor has launched the 2017 Ninja H2, H2 Carbon, and the mighty H2R in the country just weeks after introducing these models at the INTERMOT show in Germany. Dealerships across India have commenced accepting orders for the flagship H2 models.
While the H2 was introduced in India last year, the track only H2R comes here now and is priced at a whopping Rs 69.80 lakh. Meanwhile, the 2017 H2 carries a price tag of Rs 33.30 lakh and the limited edition H2 Carbon is priced at Rs 39.80 lakh (All prices, ex-showroom Delhi)
The Ninja H2R is Kawasaki’s flagship offering and was first unveiled at the EICMA Motorcycle show in 2015. The liter-class offering is a strictly track-only bike, not legal on public roads, given the overwhelming power and is also the only bike at present to get supercharging tech on board.
In fact, the Ninja H2R is a good 50 percent more powerful than the road legal H2 that makes 197bhp of power. To give you the perspective of how powerful the H2R is; well, it holds the record of hitting a top speed of 400 km/h.
For the 2017 model year, the upgraded Ninja H2 and H2R benefit from a host of changes including Kawasaki’s advanced electronics package now equipped with IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), updated KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Braking System).
