As the name of the bike implies, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 features the all-new 399cc parallel-twin engine. The high-performing engine is capable of producing 45 HP (Horsepower) at 10,000 rpm along with the peak torque of around 38 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine of the bike is mated to the high-end 6-speed transmission gearbox.

The older version of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 was capable of generating the engine power of only around 39 HP with 27 Nm of torque. Kawasaki claims that it offers higher performance throughout the riding range with improved low-down torque and tends to retain the rider-friendly features.
