Suzuki Motorcycles India has entered the 150 cc cruiser motorcycle segment in India by launching the Intruder 150. The bike is no doubt inspired by its bigger sibling Intruder 1800, though, it has the same engine and the underpinnings of the very famous Suzuki Gixxer. The Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL) have been finally successful in launching a powerful cruiser at an entry-level price for providing you with an ultimate neo-retro experience. WHEELS & TYRES
The 150cc engine offers a smooth and crisp response just like the Gixxer and a refined gearbox. The fuel efficiency of the Intruder varies between 40-45 kmpl (approximately) and offers a top speed of 115 kmph. The engine feels torquey and ultra-refined and progress is easy without needing too many gear changes.
With its bulbous looks, heavy chest and huge proportions, the cruiser does not have a hefty kerb weight at 148 kgs. With a seat height of 740 mm, it is bound to offer you a comfortable riding experience. The tyres span 110/70 R17 in the front and 140/60 R17 at the rear. The Gixxer style tyres are small for all that mass and extensive bodywork though.
It features a digital tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer. The digital trip meter and the LED indicators accompany the look of the cruiser rather well.
Suspension & Brakes
The suspension setup comprises of telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock unit at the rear. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, with an optional single-channel ABS from the Gixxer SF at a marginal price range. Ride comfort is quite good and rough surfaces are absorbed well, but the rear shock does have slightly less travel due to the new sub-frame and larger air-box. Though it offers single-channel ABS but works rather well with only minimally intrusive pulsing on the brake lever when activated.

Ride & Handling
The Intruder offers a relaxed, feet-front riding position that is accommodating for tall riders, while the low 740mm seat height means it will be friendly to riders of all sizes. It is easy to ride at a low speed and also gives you a stable handling at higher speeds. The cruiser offers a decent level of corner clearance and with that sporty suspension, you are bound to experience the most stable ride even on a windy day. At low speeds, the bike feels surprisingly light and agile for something that looks so big and this should make it friendly to handle in traffic.
